NTIC's Annual Teachers Workshop 2016
Our teachers returned from summer to a new school year and a renewed focus on student learning. In the weeks before school formally commences, we held our Annual Teacher Workshop at our Kaduna Campus. This year, we dedicated 5 days to gather together for an in-house Teaching & Learning Conference.
The aim of the workshop was to enable our teachers to come together to share experience, update the scheme of works for various subjects, be exposed to new ways and methods of teaching, generate questions for general exams, improve use of technology in classes for teaching and discuss various departmental activities, competitions and plans for the past and upcoming academic year.
Prof. Joy Eyisi, Professor of English, Director, NOUN Special Study Centre, National Assembly, Abuja, honored our Workshop with two presentations: Excellence in Teaching Profession, Ensuring effective classroom management & Accurate use of English Language.
Teachers of the various subjects got the chance to participate in micro teachings, they demonstrated proficient teaching skills and methods. These micro teachings have contributed to the shared experience of all department members together with the observations and comments of the lessons.
